MY FIRST CRY
- I am always doing that which I can not do, in order that I may learn how to do it.

My first cry happened in a hospital in the Philippines. That was the only cry my parents and my brother celebrated with joy.

And in the end it's not the years in your life that count. It is the life in your years.

Although we have no choice about being born into this world, the manner in which we live and what we become are the results of our choices. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.
Babies are necessary to grown-ups. A new baby is like the beginning of all things --wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities. In a world that is cutting down its trees to build highways, losing its earth to concrete... babies are almost the only remaining link with nature, with the natural world of living things from which we spring.

"When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you are the one who is smiling and everyone around is crying.

Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.

To handle yourself, use your head; To handle others, use your heart.

Anger is only one letter short of danger.

If someone betrays you once, it's his fault; if he betrays you twice, it's your fault.

Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people.

God gives every bird it's food, But He does not throw it into it's nest.

He who loses money, loses much; He who loses a friend, loses more; He who loses faith, loses all.

Beautiful young people are acts of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art.

Learn from  your own mistakes and the mistakes of others. You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.

The tongue weighs practically nothing, But so few people can hold it.

JUST SOME THOUGHTS:

Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and
height. Let the doctor worry about them. That is why you pay him/her.
Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.
Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening,
whatever. Never let the brain idle. "An idle mind is the devil's
workshop." The devil's name is Alzheimer's.
Enjoy the simple things. When the children are young, that is all
you can afford. When they are in college, that is all you can afford.
When you are in retirement, that is all you can afford!
Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
Laugh so much that you can be tracked in a store just by your
distinctive laughter.
The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person
who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be alive while you are alive,
don't put out a mailbox on the highway of death and just wait in
residence for your mail.
Surround yourself with what you love, whether it is family, pets,
keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.
Cherish your health. If it is good, preserve it. If it is
unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
Don't take guilt trips. Go to the Mall, the next county, a
foreign country, but not to guilt country.
Tell the people you love, that you love them, at every opportunity.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER..... Life is not measured by the number of breaths
we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
